Three steps to becoming a Christian Fitness Professional:
Step 1: During Silver Certification in WholyFit you will learn- a. fitness theory b. how to an effective coach/exercise instructor in a small group personal training setting c. to teach a beginner WholyFit class.
Step 2: Gold Certification in WholyFit will help you to specialize in teaching
WholyFit Gentle Body Power mind-body exercise system to all fitness levels.
Step 3: Every 2 years after Gold Certification, you will re-certify through WholyFit continuing education courses to develop your fitness expertise and repertoire. a. Learn other WholyFit routines and exercises. b. Learn new additional creative class types so that your program includes something for everyone!
Step 1: Silver Certification
WholyFit Christian mind-body system has proven to be the most
popular class
type for first start up of a church fitness program because it appeals
to everyone, is multi-level, is highly versatile for any fitness goal,
and has no-low space and equipment requirements. In addition, the slow
flowing stretching and strengthening system is ideal for Scripture
memorization, prayer and worship.
NOTE: The WholyFit exercise
system is a branded, trademarked class. Instructors must be certified
by WholyFit to legally teach WholyFit. This is for the protection of
all involved and to keep WholyFit class standards consistently high.
Live Online Webinars in small group (pod)
- 14 sessions face to face live online with WholyFit Trainers
- 1 session per week
- Each session is 1 hour long
- At least 2 hours preparation and practice required before each session
WholyFit certification begins with fitness theory and practice: learning the
foundational principles of fitness training including anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of exercise. You will also learn how to cue others through exercise execution, how to modify, make a lesson plan, understand the process of learning and how to teach exercise as well as how to motivate and minister through exercise.
Secondly, during Silver Certification, you will learn how to teach 46
WholyFit exercises in a layer 1
class focusing on stability training. After completing Silver Certification you may begin teaching WholyFit
for deconditioned (beginning) exercisers in the general population.
Step 2: Gold Certification
To finish certification come to the weekend retreat for Gold
Certification in which you will learn to teach layers 2 and 3 of the 46
WholyFit exercises. This enables you to teach a stability, strength and
flexibility class for more advanced exercisers in the general population.
Step 3: Re-certification
After initial Gold certification WholyFit provides continuing education in new WholyFit exercises and techniques to increase the expertise of WholyFit instructors.
a. Learn WholyFit Sit, a chair class for seniors.
b. Learn how to modify WholyFit for special populations like pre/post natal and for those with medically controlled diseases like arthritis and asthma.
c. New Exercises and Routines-
There are also 14 new WholyFit routines to learn, each of which is accompanied by a Scripture Script (Scripture memory verse.) These routines come to the subscribed instructor by email on a regular basis for a small admin fee. Select routines are sometimes also available FREE at retreats.
d. New Class Types and Genres -
Continuing education also includes training in new classes introduced during annual retreats so that instructors have a full repertoire of different kinds of classes to teach. Learn H.I.I.T. Kickboxing, SlowFlo, A.R.T. or other class types at
WholyFit retreat workshops that are usually FREE to WholyFit
instructors. Anyone can teach these classes without formal
certification.
